Lido di Jesolo, Veneto Italy

The town lies north of Venice, between Eraclea and Cavallino-Treporti. Jesolo gives its name to a 22-square-kilometre (8.5 sq mi) lagoon on the Adriatic Sea between the Sile and Piave rivers. The urban area stands on a sort of island, bordered by the Piave River to the east, the Sile River to the west, and an artificial canal called the Cavetta.
